NNA - Reuters news agency, citing an unnamed senior Iranian official, reported that Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei ordered forces to be placed on high alert.

The agency said, "Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has placed Iran's armed forces on high alert."

According to the agency's source, Tehran fears it only has about two months to conclude a deal with the United States, because if negotiations drag on, Israel could launch an attack on Iran.

The Iranian official told the agency that this would lead to the reimposition of all international sanctions on Iran.
