Boushekian represents Mikati at opening of “Made in Lebanon" exhibition in Baghdad tomorrow

NNA - Minister of Industry, George Boushekian, will be leaving to Baghdad at noon on Wednesday to represent Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, in the inauguration of the "Made in Lebanon" exhibition under the slogan of “Encourage the Lebanese: We are waiting for you."

Organized by "Al-Hayba” at Baghdad International Fair, the exhibition will last until January 28, with the participation of industrialists representing different sectors.

Marking this great event, Boushekian stressed that the Lebanese strong inclination towards Iraq was nothing new.

“It is an actual translation of lengthy historical relations between two countries and two brotherly and friendly peoples,” he said.

Expressing his gratitude to Iraqi officials for supporting Lebanon, Boushekian affirmed that the official Lebanese interest in this event was at the highest level possible.

“Prime Minister Najib Mikati is endeavoring, along with fellow ministers, to advance the concept of a productive economy over that of a rentier economy; this is gradually being achieved now that the national industry is occupying an important and larger space than it used to in the past, let alone its inclusion in the forefront of sectors that have raised their GDP share,” Boushekian explained.
