NNA - Member of Parliament, Khaled Zahraman, said that the steps that were carried out in Tripoli were just to calm battles down, pointing out that there has been no radical treatment to the problem there yet.
"The radical treatment means that the security forces hit with an iron fist, disarm all parties without exception and make Tripoli a city free of arms in parallel with carrying out a security plan," Zahraman explained to "Voice of Lebanon" radio on Friday.
The MP added that the chances of having calm in the city nowadays are big as the Army is more decisive, but the situation would stay subject to explosion in any minute in the presence of arms.
Zahraman pointed out that poor regions in Tripoli and Akkar were still suffering from the cabinet's negligence and would need to improve their social and economic situation.
