NNA - Caretaker Telecommunication Minister, Nicholas Sehanoui, relayed Pope Francis's perception of the difficulties and challenges endured by the Christians of the Orient, saying such a matter will be amongst the Supreme Pontiff's top priorities.
Minister Sehanoui was speaking on Thursday upon his arrival at Rafic Hariri International Airport, coming from the Vatican in the company of a delegation, where they partook in the legal Conference organized by the Pontifical Council for the family.
The Lebanese delegation also had audience with Pope Francis, where they presented him with a reference for the Lebanese ecclesiastical and civil laws and all the legal texts that belong to the family, children and women, brought together for the first time in Lebanon.
The delegation comprised of Sehanoui, Vice Patriarch for the Diocese of Jounieh Maronite, President of the Episcopal Commission for family and life at the Catholic Patriarchs and Bishops in Lebanon, Bishop Antoine Andari, Chairman of the Legal Committee for the family, Archbishop Charbel Hakim, and Maronite Council's Family Secretary General, Rita ezzo, and Administrative Board member, George Ezzo.
