NNA - Religious Scholar Allama Sayyid Ali Fadlallah on Wednesday patronized the launching of a new Islamic-Christian dialogue initiative under the headline of "Cultures and Religions Forum for Development and Dialogue," during a ceremony held at
the Heritage Village- Airport road.



The ceremony took place in the presence of around fifty Lebanese, Arab and Islamic religious, official, political, party and diplomatic dignitaries.



Delivered words underlined the need for bolstering rapprochement and harmony among all sects, upholding humanitarian rights and promoting dialogue and peace.



In his delivered word, Allama Fadlallah affirmed the launching of a a wider religious-secular, Islamic- Christian and Muslim-Muslim dialogue, in order to build the bonds of understanding among the diverse intellectual, religious, cultural, and social sites, primarily based on the principles of respect for the other and mutual trust.



Representing Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Bechara Boutros Rahi, Fadi Daou relayed the Patriarch's great support to the work of said Forum in bolstering dialogue and seeking means to confront extremism.
