NNA - Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs, Adnan Mansour, on Wednesday met with the Syrian Ambassador to Lebanon, Ali Abdul Karim Ali, over the impending conference of Geneva II.



The pair also dwelled on the current situation in the Arab and Middle East region and the achievements scored by the Syrian Arab Army on the ground.



"Syria is facing terrorism firmly, and it is still cleaving to dialogue," the envoy told reporters following the meeting.



He said that Syrian authorities sought dialogue as a means to solve the crisis, noting that the peaceful solution is the loophole for the sides who have bet on the collapse of the Syrian regime.



As to rumors about the possibility of burying chemical weapons in Lebanon, the diplomat maintained that his country insisted on addressing the chemical arsenal issue yet with the security of both Lebanon and Syria being preserved.
