NNA - Head of the Lebanese Order of Pharmacists, Dr. Joe Salloum, on Tuesday visited Minister of Interior Major General Ahmad Al-Hajjar, accompanied by Vice President Dr. Abdel Rahman Marqabawi, Dr. Ziad Al-Hajj Shahada, and Dr. Bassam Hanini.

Dr. Salloum stressed that "the safety of pharmacists, patients, and citizens must be a top priority, beyond all compromise."

Salloum thanked the Minister for the "notable arrest of the armed assailant who targeted four pharmacies and seriously injured a pharmacist." He also called for increased police patrols around pharmacies, greater municipal and station-level protection, and stricter crackdowns on smuggled drugs and illegal pharmaceutical outlets.
