NNA – The National Moderation parliamentary bloc on Wednesday announced that it endorses army chief General Joseph Aoun for the presidency of the republic.  

“Since a chance of national consensus is looming on the horizon of the January 9 president election session with an Arab and international support, and since the headline of the chance is consensus over the name of army commander General Joseph Aoun, given that he is a national figure who enjoys the presidential characteristics required for the current stage and its present and upcoming challenges at the local, Arab, and international levels, the National Moderation bloc announces its endorsement of the election of General Joseph Aoun as president of the republic,” the group said in a statement following a meeting today.
