NNA - Caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, made a call this afternoon to the UNIFIL Commander, Major General Aroldo Lazaro Saenz, in which he condemned and deplored Israel's targeting of a UNIFIL vehicle this morning.

Mikati expressed his solidarity with UNIFIL forces over this painful incident.

General Lazaro informed the Prime Minister that UNIFIL is currently conducting investigations into the incident to uncover its circumstances.
