NNA - Russian Ambassador to Lebanon, Alexander Zasypkin, highlighted on Wednesday the necessity to fight and stamp out terrorism in order to pave the way for restoring security and stability in the region, especially in Syria.



The envoy made these remarks during his meeting with a delegation of the Lebanese national forces and parties' union, at the embassy today.



Zasypkin did not fail to draw attention to the on-track international Geneva peace talks on Syria, underlining the positive role that the concerned states can play to fight terrorism and cease carnage.
