NNA - Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri chaired the Wednesday MPs meeting with talks touching on the developments at the domestic and regional scenes, in particular the security situation and the latest terrorist bombing which rocked Haret Hreik in the southern suburbs, as well as the deterioration of the security situation in Tripoli.
Discussions dwelled on means to boost efforts aimed to form a new government.
Berri then received caretaker Minister Wael Abu Faour in the presence of Minister Ali Hassan Khalil, with talks touching on the ongoing contacts to reach an agreement over the governmental formula.
On the other hand, Berri received a phone call from the Head of the Iranian Shura Council Ali Larijani who denounced the terrorist bombing in Haret Hreik and offered condolences to the families of the victims.
The pair also discussed the developments in the region and the atmosphere of the Geneva II conference on Syria.
