NNA - Caretaker Minister of Environment Nazem El Khoury held a lunch banquet on Wednesday at the Phoenicia Hotel in honor of the UNDP resident representative in Lebanon, Robert Watkins who will be leaving Lebanon soon.
The luncheon was attended by senior officials of the United Nations Development Programme and the Ministry of Environment.
The Minister praised the constructive and fruitful cooperation between the ministry and the UNDP which gave an additional boost to a number of environmental projects shared between the two parties, all at the service of the environment in Lebanon and the protection of natural resources.
Watkins, for his part, said he was pleased with the hard work of the Minister of Environment as well as with the commitment of the UNDP to work for the protection of the environment in this country.
