NNA - Caretaker Minister of Social Affairs, Wael Abu Faour, met on Tuesday at his office in the Ministry with the UNHCR representative in Lebanon, Ninette Kelley, over the condition of the Syrian refugees in the Lebanese regions.



Abu Faour later met with UNDP representative in Lebanon, Robert Watkins, who came on a farewell visit upon the end of his mission in the country.


Abu Faour reportedly thanked Watkins for helping Lebanon and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs deal with the burdens inflicted by the Syrian refugees' crisis. He said the UN diplomat had always acted as a friend for Lebanon.



For his part, Watkins hailed the cooperation with the Minister especially in terms of fulfilling the needs of the Syrian and Palestinian refugees.


He also hoped that a new government would be formed soon to take the decisions Lebanon is in need of.
