NNA - Member of Parliament, Ali Khreiss, sounded upbeat on Monday as he described the cabinet formation process as "more than good", while confirming that things will be finally resolved by tomorrow.
"Things have become even more positive following Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri's new stance, and Speaker of the House Nabih Berri's surge of optimism," Khreiss told Sawt Al-Shaab radio station.
He explained that an overall agreement had been reached over an 8-8-8 cabinet, coupled with fair rotation "despite the Free Patriotic Movement's remarks."
But Khreis said that agreement on the distribution of portfolios had not been reached yet.
The MP also ruled out any existing link between Saad Hariri's fresh stance -- regarding the cabinet formation -- and the Special Tribunal for Lebanon. He also relayed Berri's keenness on internal political agreement, especially in the wake of Former Minister Mohammad Shatah's assassination.
Albeit, the Amal Movement lawmaker reiterated his party's attachment to the tripartite army-people-resistance formula.
Commenting on the catastrophic garbage management problem, the MP described it as an "environmental tragedy".
"The solution entails a cabinet that works well on developmental projects and comes out with a comprehensive plan that involves all the different Lebanese regions."
