NNA - The current painful series of events might get out of hand, Maronite patriarch Béchara Rahi, warned in his Sunday sermon at the Lady's Chapel Bkirki today.



Prevailing insecurity visited on the country, might usher in a critical juncture risking strings of the crisis getting out of control of self-styled commanders, Rahi added.



Aided by 3 bishops and head of Caritas, the patriarch who read verses from the Gospels of John credited senior Kataeb members and laymen in the congregation with deriving their ideological slogan of "God, the Fatherland and the Family from the New Testament for a Unitarian purpose of Christian churches and the faithful as he said.



We beseech the Almighty One and the Virgin to bring about an end to regional conflicts in pursuit of the preservation of all citizens by hopefully keeping them safe and sound, he added. A successful outcome of Geneva 2 will bring peace and fortitude to Lebanon and Syria, he concluded.
