NNA - Caretaker Minister of Energy, Gibran Bassil, praised recent stances by former PM Saad Hariri, and asserted that an understanding between the FPM and Hezbollah is not enough for the country is in need of a wider umbrella of deep national understanding that includes Future Movement and other key political parties.
Bassil spoke Saturday during the inauguration of works on a power plant in the southern suburb, whereby he promised that a plan has been launched to provide electricity 24 hours a day within two years.
"The words of Saad Hariri yesterday are a base upon which understandings could be built," said Bassil.
"A Cabinet cannot rise and flourish in Lebanon if someone were excluded or targeted; and the ministerial statement, though not considered equal to the constitution, remains profound."
