NNA - Several civilians, mostly women and children, were killed, and dozens of others were injured last Sunday night and early Monday morning as the Israeli occupation forces continued their onslaught on Gaza, bombing multiple areas across the Strip.
Medical sources reported that 6 civilians, including children, were killed after Israeli warplanes struck a tent sheltering displaced people in the Qizan Abu Rashwan area of Khan Yunis, in the southern Strip.
In addition, several other civilians were killed and others were injured in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a house in the Ma'an area, east of Khan Yunis. At least six people were injured in an attack that targeted more than five civilian vehicles in various locations across Khan Yunis. Other injuries were reported as Israeli warplanes targeted tents sheltering displaced people near the Taiba Towers in the western part of the city.
In the central Gaza Strip, at least two women were killed and several others were injured in an Israeli shelling targeting an apartment in the Nuseirat refugee camp. A civilian was also injured in an Israeli bombing that struck a car repair workshop near the entrance to the Maghazi camp in central Gaza.
Additionally, four civilians were injured after Israeli warplanes shelled a tent sheltering displaced people in the Sawarha area.
In Gaza City, a child was killed and several others were injured in the Zeitoun neighborhood after Israeli military vehicles opened fire on civilians’ homes in the southeast of the neighborhood.
Furthermore, four citizens, including women, were killed and several others were injured in an Israeli bombardment that targeted two adjacent homes belonging to the Abu Aker and Al-Sayfi families in the Shujaiya neighborhood, east of Gaza City. Israeli military vehicles also continued shelling the northwestern areas of Beit Lahia.
In the early morning last Tuesday, the Israeli occupation resumed its genocidal war in Gaza, which, as of Thursday evening, resulted in the killing of nearly 600 citizens and the injury of over 1,000 others, with 70% of the casualties being children, women and the elderly.
Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation has been committing a relentless genocide in the Gaza Strip, resulting in the killing and wounding of over 163,000 civilians, mostly women and children. More than 14,000 remain missing.
