Washington sends a message to Tehran after striking the Houthis: Enough is enough

NNA - The United States warned Iran on Sunday against continuing to support the Houthis in Yemen, noting that its strikes against the group had succeeded in eliminating a number of its leaders, according to Sky News Arabia.

US National Security Advisor Mike Waltz said, "Iran must stop providing support to the Houthis. Enough is enough."

Waltz continued, "We will hold accountable anyone who threatens American interests, not just the Houthis."

The National Security Advisor added, "The US strikes have eliminated a number of Houthi leaders."

Waltz noted that the Houthis possess "advanced offensive and defensive capabilities that threaten navigation in the Red Sea."

Yemeni sources revealed to Sky News Arabia that the US raids targeted the homes of Houthi leaders.

Sources also revealed to Sky News Arabia that six Houthi leaders were killed in the US airstrikes.

A previous report in the Wall Street Journal indicated that targeting Houthi leaders personally was one of the objectives of the US strikes on Yemen.

Informed sources reported that among the sites targeted in the airstrikes were the homes of Houthi leaders residing in Sana'a and Saada.

US airstrikes against the Houthis in Yemen have killed 31 people, according to a new, preliminary toll announced by the Houthi-run Ministry of Health on Sunday.
