NNA - The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that the explosion that occurred on Saturday in the city of Latakia was an "accident" caused by unexploded ordnance.

The Observatory explained that the explosion in Latakia was "an accident caused by a missile from unexploded ordnance, which exploded while being dismantled by a person working as a scrap collector at his home."

The explosion killed at least three people, according to the official Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).
