NNA - The political scene has become complicated amidst an atmosphere of escalation in Gaza, and new developments have emerged that may redraw the equation of the conflict, as US President Donald Trump has expressed openness to an Arab proposal that includes the reconstruction of the Strip within a broader political framework, according to Sky News Arabia. 

Although the initiative enjoys broad Arab support, Israel continues to deal with it with caution, as it has not announced a clear position, while discussing other scenarios, some of which are more extreme, such as the option of mass displacement of the Strip’s residents.

In an unprecedented move, the United States has entered into direct talks with Hamas, according to sources reported to Sky News Arabia, where Washington proposed extending the truce in Gaza for two months, and opening the crossings to allow humanitarian aid to enter, in exchange for the release of 10 living Israeli hostages.
