NNA - The German Foreign Ministry today urged all parties in Syria to avoid a "spiral of violence" after reports of clashes on the Syrian coast between security forces and loyalists of ousted President Bashar al-Assad. 

A post on a social media platform from the German Foreign Ministry said: "We are shocked by the large number of victims in western Syria. We call on all parties to seek...peaceful solutions, national unity, comprehensive political dialogue and transitional justice to overcome the cycle of violence and hatred," as reported by "Agence France-Presse."
