NNA - Four Palestinians were killed and others were injured in Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip on Sunday, according to medical officials, as reported by Sky News Arabia.

The Civil Defense in Gaza announced that Israeli artillery shelling occurred east of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip on Sunday.

The Civil Defense said in a brief statement: "Artillery shelling and gunfire from Israeli tanks targeted the border areas of the town of Abasan al-Kabira east of Khan Yunis city in the southern Gaza Strip."

The Israeli army said it was "verifying reports in this regard."

Earlier on Sunday, a Palestinian was killed, and another was injured in shelling carried out by an Israeli drone north of the Gaza Strip.

Palestinian media reported that the attack targeted a group of Palestinians in the al-Bura area east of the town of Beit Hanoun.
