NNA - The Israeli occupation military continues its assault on the city of Jenin and its refugee camp for the 39th consecutive day, so far resulting in 27 fatalities, dozens of injuries, and extensive destruction of infrastructure and property.

On Thursday, an Israeli soldier shot a doctor in the foot in the Al-Zahraa neighborhood, while a woman was wounded by live fire in Jenin refugee camp as she attempted to reach her home to retrieve personal belongings. Israeli forces also fired directly at a medical team trying to assist the injured woman.

The ongoing siege has severely impacted daily life in Jenin, with economic losses estimated at 20 million shekels per day. The blockade of checkpoints surrounding the city has prevented Palestinians from the 1948-occupied territories--once a main contributor to the city's economy--from entering.

In addition, Israeli forces have been burning homes, bulldozing roads, and preventing residents from accessing their properties to collect essential items such as clothing and blankets, despite the cold weather and the approaching holy month of Ramadan.

Local and international journalists are being denied entry to Jenin refugee camp, preventing media coverage of the destruction and ongoing military assault. Meanwhile, Israeli forces continue to alter the camp's geography by opening new roads, closing others, and digging trenches up to three meters deep.

During the ongoing offensive, several homes have been seized by Israeli forces and converted into military outposts, particularly buildings overlooking the refugee camp. Water supply disruptions persist in several neighborhoods due to Israeli bulldozing of roads and water networks, making repairs nearly impossible amid the military presence.--WAFA
