NNA - The Israeli army announced on Sunday that it had raised the level of "operational readiness" around Gaza after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said his country was ready to resume fighting against Hamas "at any moment," according to Agence France-Presse.

The army said in a statement: "After an assessment of the situation, it was decided to raise operational readiness in the area surrounding the Gaza Strip."
