NNA - The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said that more than 376,000 Palestinians returned to the northern Gaza Strip between Monday morning and Tuesday afternoon.
The office explained that half of these displaced people are men, a quarter are women and the other quarter are children.
The OCHA office relied on figures from a working group of several organizations that set up census points throughout the Strip.
The office said, "Pregnant or breastfeeding women, the elderly, people with disabilities, people with chronic diseases or those in need of urgent medical care, or unaccompanied minors are among the main vulnerable categories of displaced people who made this difficult journey on foot." ----WAFA
