NNA - The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced today, Saturday, that the death toll from the Israeli bombing of the Strip, which has been ongoing since October 2023, has risen to 46,899 dead and 110,725 injured.
The ministry's daily report stated that the Israeli forces committed 3 massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, resulting in 23 dead and 83 injured who were transported to hospitals for treatment during the past 24 hours, despite the announcement of reaching a ceasefire agreement in the Strip.
The ministry indicated that a number of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads, as ambulance and civil defense crews cannot reach them. It called on the families of martyrs and missing persons to complete their data by registering through the Ministry of Health platforms.
The Gaza Strip civil defense indicated that since the announcement of the ceasefire agreement in the Strip, the Israeli army has killed 122 people and injured more than 270 others.
On Wednesday evening, Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani announced reaching a prisoner exchange deal and a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip between Israel and Hamas.
Hamas said that the agreement is "the fruit of the legendary steadfastness of our great Palestinian people and our valiant resistance in the Gaza Strip, for more than 15 months."
The first phase of the deal includes the release of 250 Palestinian prisoners with life sentences, 400 with extended sentences, and 1,000 prisoners from the Gaza Strip who were arrested after October 7, in addition to all prisoners who were re-arrested after the "Shalit deal" and women and children.
