NNA - Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shaibani said, “The new Syria is moving towards building positive and balanced relations with its Arab, regional and international surroundings,” according to “Sky News Arabia.”

Al-Shaibani explained during a press conference following his meeting with the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman bin Jassim Al Thani, in the Qatari capital, Doha: "The new Syria will have good relations with the region, dominated by peace and mutual cooperation, far from the previous regime’s relations with the region."

He added: “We seek to restore our relations with the Arab, regional and international environment, in a way that enhances stability and development.”

Al-Shaibani said the meeting was an in-depth and extensive encounter, as basic and strategic issues were discussed, in addition to explaining the Syrian road map for rebuilding the country, empowering the Syrian people with their civil rights, and building a government that represents all people components.
