NNA - The Commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Major General Hossein Salami, said that “the defeated in Gaza and Lebanon are today leading the attacks in Syria,” in reference to Israel, according to “Sky News Arabia.”

Tasnim News Agency quoted Hussein Salami as saying that after the “strategic defeats” that Israel suffered on the Gaza and Lebanon fronts, “the Takfiri terrorist groups, under the leadership and direction of those defeated on the battlefields in Gaza and southern Lebanon, launched new brutal attacks on Syria in the last days."

He pointed out that these crimes claimed the life of "the valiant and courageous Commander of the Revolutionary Guards, Keumarth (Hashim) Pourhashemi (known as Hajj Hashem)."

He highlighted that "Hajj Hashem" is considered the chief Iranian military advisor in Syria.
