NNA - The Syrian Arab Army stated that intense battles across a front line exceeding 100 km are ongoing as they work to repel a massive assault by terrorist organizations.

These groups, heavily armed with advanced weaponry and supported by thousands of foreign militants, launched a coordinated large-scale attack from multiple axes targeting the Aleppo and Idlib fronts.

The attackers also employed significant numbers of drones, escalating the intensity of confrontations.

Earlier, Al-Mayadeen's correspondent in Damascus reported that violent battles are taking place between the Syrian Army and terrorist groups on the southeastern Idlib countryside axis, adding that confrontations ate ongoing around Maarat al-Numan after militants entered Saraqib, south of Idlib, and Abu al-Duhur military airport. Meanwhile, Syrian warplanes targeted militants' positions, west of Aleppo city. -- Al Mayadeen
