NNA - Damascus - The Syrian Ministry of Transport closed commercial, fishing, and recreational ports to maritime navigation due to the prevailing weather conditions.

It said in a statement: "The commercial ports in Latakia, Tartous, Arwad, the oil terminal in Banias, and all fishing and recreational ports have been closed to maritime navigation due to the weather conditions, high waves, and increased wind speed."
