NNA - Iran's state television reported that three terrorists were killed on Sunday in the southeast of the country, during an operation against armed groups operating in the region, according to "Agence France-Presse".

The television quoted the commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, Ahmad Shafii, as saying, "As part of the ongoing cleansing operation, today (Sunday) three terrorists were killed and nine others were arrested."

The operation took place in the Sistan-Baluchestan province, one of the poorest regions in Iran which shares long borders with Pakistan and Afghanistan.
