NNA - Qatar has withdrawn from its role as the main mediator in reaching a ceasefire in Gaza and the release of hostages, telling Hamas that its office in Doha "no longer serves its purpose," a diplomatic source told AFP on Saturday.

"The Qataris told the Israelis and Hamas that as long as there is a refusal to negotiate an agreement in good faith, they will not be able to continue mediating. As a result, Hamas's political bureau no longer serves its purpose," the source, who asked not to be identified, said.
