NNA - Iran announced on Saturday that it had “successfully” placed in orbit the “Jamran 1” satellite designated for research, in a new step within the development of its space program, which is of concern to Western countries, according to “Agence France-Presse.”
The official media in Tehran reported that, “This Saturday morning, the Islamic Republic of Iran launched the Jamran 1 research satellite using the Qaim 100 satellite carrier, and successfully placed it in an orbit with a length of 550 kilometers.”
The satellite weighs about 60 kilograms and its primary mission is to test hardware and software systems to prove maneuvering technology.
