NNA - Iranian state media reported that Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi will travel to Iran today, in a rare visit to discuss developments in the Middle East with his Iranian counterpart after the assassination of Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, according to "Reuters".
Safadi's visit to Iran comes in the wake of ongoing diplomatic contacts by the United States and its partners, including France, Britain, Italy, and Egypt, yesterday to prevent further escalation in the region.
