NNA - President-elect Masoud Pezeshkian will take the constitutional oath before the Shura Council, in early August, to become the ninth president of the Islamic Republic of Iran, according to what official media reported on Sunday, as per Agence France-Presse.

The official Iranian News Agency (IRNA) quoted a member of the presidential body in parliament, Mojtaba Yousfi, as saying that “the inauguration ceremony for the president will take place on the fourth or fifth of August,” provided that “within 15 days he will appoint ministers for a vote of confidence.”

The inauguration ceremony is scheduled to take place after Pezeshkian obtains the official approval of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, Ali Khamenei.
