NNA - Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani described the Israeli ambassador to the United Nations' tearing up a copy of the United Nations Charter as “Zionist-style insolence,” according to “Russia Today.”
Yesterday, Israel's ambassador to the United Nations, Gilad Erdan, ascended to the podium of the General Assembly at the United Nations and tore up a "copy of the United Nations Charter" during the voting session on the draft resolution on full Palestinian membership.
Kanaani wrote in his account on the “X” platform: “The insolence means that the United Nations Charter has value as long as the members of the organization remain silent in the face of all these crimes and brutality!!.”
He added: “Zionist-style insolence, after the killing of more than 34,000 innocent Palestinian women, children and citizens within 7 months, a war crime, a massive violation of international laws and regulations, human rights and genocide, they expect encouragement from the international community!”
Yesterday, Friday, Erdan placed a copy of the United Nations Charter in the paper shredder at the United Nations before the General Assembly voted on the resolution of full membership of Palestine in the United Nations.
