NNA - Turkey’s earthquake death toll has risen to 18,342, the country’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority said in a statement on Friday.

"According to the latest data, 18,342 of our citizens were killed and 74,242 suffered injuries. As many as 75,780 people have been evacuated from the disaster area," the statement reads.

People are being evacuated to other regions of the country due to the large-scale destruction caused by the quake. According to Turkish Airlines, the air carrier plans to evacuate 26,600 people on 150 flights on Friday.—TASS
