NNA - House Speaker, Nabih Berri, on Monday met at the second presidency headquarters in Ain El Tineh, with Minister of the Displaced and Minister of State for Technology and Artificial Intelligence, Kamal Shehadeh, in the presence of CEO of Multi Lane Company, Fadi Daou.
Discussions reportedly touched on the general situation, the latest developments, and legislative affairs, particularly the draft law related to the establishment of free economic zones for technological industries.
On emerging, Minister Shehadeh said, " We discussed with Speaker Berri the draft law related to establishing free economic zones for technology industries, a key project approved by the joint committees two weeks ago."
Minister Shehadeh highlighted the importance of this project as one of the most important economic projects that creates job opportunities and encourages the revival of exports from Lebanon.
Speaker Berri later received the head of the parliamentary Projects Association bloc, MP Adnan Traboulsi, accompanied by a delegation from the "Islamic Philanthropic Association", in the presence of "Development and Liberation" bloc MP Mohammed Khawaja.
Discussions touched on the general situation, political developments and legislative affairs, especially the upcoming municipal elections.
