NNA - Interior and Municipalities Minister, Ahmad Hajjar, on Monday chaired a meeting of the Central Security Council on Friday at the ministry’s headquarters to discuss a range of security issues.
During the session, Minister Hajjar praised the efforts of the security agencies over the past two days, particularly the Internal Security Forces’ Information Branch, which successfully apprehended the perpetrator behind a series of armed robberies targeting pharmacies and shops across various areas.
The Minister then called on relevant agencies to intensify on-ground security presence, enhance preemptive operations, conduct necessary investigations, and increase patrols throughout the country, especially during the holiday season.
The Interior Minister also emphasized the need for strengthened measures to combat drug manufacturing, trafficking across borders, and local distribution.
Additionally, Hajjar instructed security bodies to take all necessary precautions in preparation for the upcoming electoral process, stressing the importance of ensuring its integrity and preventing any interference.
