NNA - Prime Minister, Nawaf Salam, on Wednesday welcomed at the Grand Serail the economic advisor to the French presidential envoy to Lebanon, Jacques de La Gojège, at the head of a delegation. 

The meeting focused on preparations for the reconstruction conference that France intends to host this year.

Prime Minister Salam stressed “the importance of holding the conference as soon as possible.” 

Discussions also addressed Lebanon’s economic and financial situation and the reform steps the government has begun implementing.

Salam also met with Kuwaiti businessman Mr. Bader Al-Kharafi to discuss investment opportunities in Lebanon across various sectors, in light of the steps the government has initiated to encourage and attract investments. 

Prime Minister Salam praised “the brotherly and distinguished relations between Lebanon and Kuwait and their peoples.”

The Prime Minister also received Najad Fares, Vice Chair of the American Task Force for Lebanon.
