NNA - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Youssef Rajji, on Tuesday received a phone call from British Minister for the Middle East and North Africa Hamish Falconer, during which they discussed the latest developments in the south.
Minister Raji reiterated his call for "international pressure on Israel to withdraw completely, immediately, and unconditionally from the Lebanese territories it occupies."
Raja also discussed with the British minister the Syrian displacement issue and the role the United Kingdom can play in finding a solution to this issue and ensuring the return of the displaced persons to Syria as soon as possible.
On the other hand, Minister Raji held a phone call with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, during which they discussed the situation in Lebanon and the region. They also reviewed the role to be played by the five-member security committee that emerged from the Amman meeting, which will undertake coordination and establish the necessary mechanisms for cooperation in combating terrorism, drug and arms smuggling, and cross-border organized crime.
