NNA - Head of the Lebanese Press Syndicate, Joseph Al-Kosseifi, visited former President Amin Gemayel at his residence in Bikfaya.

During their discussion, President Gemayel stressed the "necessity of national reconciliation because it is the key to peace in Lebanon," adding, "Peace unites all groups and sects to rescue Lebanon from the quagmire in which it is floundering."

Gemayel continuued, "Today, we are in dire need of a unifying discourse, convergent leadership, and inclusive authorities, because this responsibility is collective and national, not individual nor partisan nor factional."

He, thus, expressed support to President Joseph Aoun in any initiative for a comprehensive national gathering that achieves comprehensive reconciliation.

For his part, Al-Kosseifi praised President Amin Gemayel's call for national reconciliation, which comes in a timely manner after all the tragedies that have befallen Lebanon.
