NNA - The Embassy of Lebanon in Vienna on Thursday announced in a statement that on April 13, 2022, the Permanent Representative of Lebanon to the United Nations Office and International Organizations in Vienna, Ambassador Ibrahim Assaf, handed over to the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Mr. Rafael Mariano Grossi, Lebanon’s accession to the Agreement on the Privileges and Immunities of the IAEA. 

“Good news, Lebanon has just deposited Instrument of Acceptance of the Agreement on the Privileges and Immunities of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) becoming the 92nd party to the Convention today and providing protection to IAEA staff, as they carry out their duties in the country,” IAEA Director General, Rafael Mariano Grossi, said via twitter.
