NNA - The Central Bank of Lebanon issued a clarification statement on Saturday, indicating that "some electronic media outlets have reported positions attributed to the Governor of the Banque du Liban during the Washington meetings, which are completely baseless."

The statement went on: "In the interest of accuracy and credibility, and to avoid spreading rumors, we urge the media to publish only official statements issued by the Banque du Liban and its Governor through the Media and Public Relations Unit."
