"Stouh Beirut" brings the Lebanese diaspora together under the "Liban Mon Amour" Initiative with Maestro Elie Alia

NNA - In the presence of Lebanon's Ambassador to Switzerland, Rola Noureddine, Lebanon’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations and international organizations in Geneva, Ambassador Slim Badoura, Charge d'Affaires at the Lebanese Embassy in France, Ziad Ta'an, and prominent Lebanese figures in the Lebanese diaspora, the "Liban Mon Amour" concert was launched at the Alhambra Theatre Hall in Geneva on November 8th and in Paris on November 10th, 2024. The event, being part of the ongoing projects of the "Stouh Beirut" association, with proceeds benefiting the Lebanese people from all sectors of society in these difficult times.

The opening of the concert started with the "Liban Mon Amour" song, written by poet Nizar Francis, composed and arranged by Maestro Elie Alia, and performed by artist Marwan Howayek. This ignited the spirits of the attendees, who joined the orchestra, conducted by Maestro Elie Alia, and the choir, in performing national songs in an atmosphere filled with nostalgia, joy, and tears.

The President and Founder of the association, Dalia Dagher, gave a speech at both events, where she said that "Lebanon today is not well, and the devastation it is facing is deeply painful. However, through the universal language of music, we hope to highlight the resilience and strength of the Lebanese people. We will face this crisis with our great love for our country, which remains, despite the deep wounds, the most beautiful of all nations."

Dagher expressed her gratitude to the Lebanese diaspora abroad for their ongoing support of the Lebanese people and the association's initiatives. She also thanked the creator of the event and producer of both concerts, in collaboration with "Mir'ah" Foundation, director Mirjan Bou Chaya along with "Center Stage" company, businesswoman Hala Fadel, Maestro Elie Alia, and the sponsor of the concerts, businesswoman Malak Ibrahim, owner of "Lebanon la Rahtak" company. Special thanks were also extended to the members of the Board of Directors of "Les Toits de Beyrouth" in France and the “Stouh Beirut” association’s team in Lebanon, emphasizing that the overwhelming success of the concerts was only a way to secure more support for Lebanon and its people through the association.
