NNA - Justice Minister, Adel Nassar, on Thursday welcomed Dutch Ambassador to Lebanon, Frank Mollen, who described their meeting as “insightful and highly productive.”  

Ambassador Mollen reaffirmed the Netherlands’ commitment to supporting judicial reform in Lebanon, stressing the importance of an independent and effective judiciary that serves the public and earns its trust.  

Mollen welcomed Minister Nassar’s stance on the need for reform, and noted they also discussed the Beirut port explosion investigation.  

Moreover, the Ambassador expressed hope that Judge Tarek Bitar will be able to complete the probe soon, and voiced full support for Lebanese judges, emphasizing the value of their independence and the crucial role they play in restoring public confidence.  

"I believe the minister is doing an excellent job," Mollen concluded.
