NNA - The National News Agency followed up on the entry of the people of the town of Aitaroun in the Bint Jbeil district into their village since the early morning hours of Sunday, amidst the support of the Lebanese army.

Residents of the town walked behind the army units and entered to inspect their homes that were destroyed as a result of the Israeli aggression, which wreaked havoc and devastation in the town.

The town's mayor, Salim Murad, said: “The enemy withdrew from the town, leaving behind huge destruction, targeting homes, roads, and infrastructure, including electricity and water networks, in addition to places of worship that they razed to the ground. We, in the resilient town of Aitaroun, will begin working hand in hand with all the loyalists tomorrow to start rebuilding what the enemy has destroyed. Here, we salute the heroic martyrs who defended the land, and we welcome the army’s entry into the town."
