NNA - Israeli enemy warplanes on Wednesday launched airstrikes on the town of Eastern Zawtar, with simultaneous artillery and cluster bomb attacks striking areas along the town’s outskirts near the river, between Zawtar and Deir Siryan, and near Yuhmor al-Shqif. 

Cluster munitions, internationally banned for their indiscriminate impact, reportedly hit olive groves and the cemetery’s surroundings in Yuhmor al-Shaqif, causing widespread damage.

Later in the afternoon, Israeli enemy warplanes conducted another strike on a building at the Bir al-Qandil junction in the city of Nabatieh. 

In Marjayoun, Israeli forces were observed carrying out demolition and explosive operations south of the government hospital in Mays al-Jabal.
