NNA - Southern Lebanon on Thursday witnessed a significant escalation in hostilities, with Israeli air and drone strikes targeting multiple towns across the region. A series of air raids and artillery bombardments have caused widespread destruction, civilian casualties, and fatalities.
In the southern town of Suwwana, a motorcycle was targeted by an Israeli drone strike, while low-flying Israeli warplanes released thermal balloons over Khiyam.
Meanwhile, air and drone strikes hit the towns of Qlaileh, Tyre's outskirts, Smaiyeh, and Tayr Harfa, according to local reports.
In Nabatieh, an Israeli strike on Marj Harouf-Zebdine completely destroyed a building.
Later, a raid on Mays al-Jabal, accompanied by artillery shelling of Adaisseh, reportedly targeted an ambulance and a motorcycle in Majdal Selm.
Further south, in the town of Burj Qallawi, local official Hasan Ramiti, the village's Mukhtar, was killed in an Israeli airstrike late last night.
In the same region, Israeli warplanes bombed a house in Bazouriyeh and launched attacks on the outskirts of Ain Baal.
Also in Nabatieh, intense bombardments damaged multiple buildings and homes.
A raid on Kasar Zaatar neighborhood in Nabatieh city destroyed one building and caused extensive damage to nearby structures.
Further strikes targeted Faqaani near the Litani River, as well as the areas of Sharabik and Ras al-Areed, with continued air and drone presence.
In the early hours, southern Lebanon’s Hanine, Aita al-Shaab, Ramiyeh, and the outskirts of Rmeish were subjected to heavy artillery fire.
In Tibnine, an airstrike occurred shortly before 8 a.m., following earlier attacks on Sultaniyeh at dawn.
The Health Authority Headquarters in Bazouriyeh was also targeted, resulting in minor injuries.
