NNA - The body of Pope Francis is lying in state in St. Peter’s Basilica, where it will remain for three days until his funeral Saturday, expected to be attended by world leaders including US President Donald Trump.

His body was transferred to the basilica during a procession earlier Wednesday, and was followed by a service led by Camerlengo Kevin Joseph Farrell, the cardinal tasked with making arrangements for Pope Francis’ funeral and the conclave in the weeks ahead.--Agencies
